Bangalore: Star leg spinner Anil Kumble, recuperating from a shoulder surgery, has been making steady recovery and will be rolling his arm over, on Saturday.
''I will be rolling my arm over on Saturday and I feel pretty confident that I should be able to recover very soon'', the leg spinner has told a leading English newspaper from Johannesburg. He will roll over his arm for the first time after the orthoscopic surgery of his right shoulder in January last.
The 29-year-old bowler said he was feeling stronger. ''I feel comfortable and I am stronger than what I was, a couple of weeks ago. There has been a lot of improvement,'' said Anil Kumble with confidence.
Kumble had left for South Africa for another consultation with shoulder specialist Mark Fergusson on his operated right shoulder on April 10.
Kumble is expected to return here in the first week of May and should be available for the away series against South Africa scheduled in October.
The shoulder injury has kept Kumble out of cricket for the last several months. He had met Dr Fergusson last month and the internationally reputed specialist had suggested changes in his rehabilitation programme. The leg spinner was strictly following the programme and it had shown good results.
Dr Fergusson had also expressed his happiness over Kumble's recovery, who is eager to return to the competitive cricket.
