New Delhi: A top Indian cricket official said on Tuesday he was unaware of an alleged attempt to bribe two Australian players and the side's coach during their recent tour of India.
"We've so far not been informed by the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) about any approach made by bookies (bookmakers)," Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jaywant Lele told AFP.
"I cannot comment on the news because I do not know anything about this," he said.
The Australian Cricket Board said on Tuesday an attempt to bribe cricketers Colin Miller and Adam Gilchrist and coach John Buchanan was made during the recent Test series, which India won 2-1.
