Gibbs was also suspended for six months till January this year for his involvement in a match-fixing scandal that led to a life ban on former captain Hansie Cronje. The general council of the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCBSA) meets this weekend to consider a recommendation that Gibbs face a disciplinary hearing.
