Johannesburg: Members of the South African cricket team will sign a pledge against drugs on Wednesday in recognition of the UN theme - "Sport Against Drugs".The team, under fire after six members pleaded guilty to using marijuana in the West Indies, has pledged its support to its employer, the United Cricket Board of South Africa (USBSA), in its fight against drug abuse."By signing the pledge, athletes commit to being positive role models and tosupporting the spirit of the campaign," said United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCBSA) communications director Bronwyn Wilkinson."The UCBSA is committed to the fight against drug abuse and South African cricketers of all ages are expected to endorse the spirit of drug-free sport."IANS
