Bangalore: Indian pace spearhead Javagal Srinath will not be available for the triangular series involving India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand to be played in Sri Lanka from July 18. Srinath, who was rested for the triangular series involving Zimbabwe, India and West Indies in Zimbabwe, has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India not to consider him for the upcoming tournament in Sri Lanka. However, he would be available for the three-Test series against Sri Lanka after the triangular series. I would like to concentrate more on Tests. I have already requested the BCCI not to consider for the triangular series, the Karnataka paceman said.Srinath, who was once toying with the idea of playing only in Tests following his shoulder problem, clarified that, It is not that in future I will not play One-day cricket.The Indian team for the island nation tour will be announced on July 9. It may be recalled that his statemate Anil Kumble, recuperating from shoulder injury, has indicated that he too would not be fit for the Sri Lankan tour.
