Bangalore: Two ace cricketers- Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid and speedster Javagal Srinath - will join hands with well-known fashion maker Prasad Bidappa to help raise funds for visually-impaired people. A tactile fashion show, claimed to be the first of its kind in the country, involving visually-impaired people will be organised here in December to mobilise funds for the silver jubilee building of the National Association for Blind (NAB), Karnataka branch. With a capacity to accommodate 150 people it would cost Rs 80 lakh and is proposed to be built in phases. Mr Bidappa told reporters on Wednesday, that Rahul, whom he described as the most sought after boy, would be modelling with designer clothes to be prepared by famous designers like Wendell Rodricks of Goa and Manoviraj Khosla, Namrataji, Sharon and Chandrajit and Sujit Mukherjee. ''Rich texture will be used for the show and it can be felt by the visually-impaired people,'' he added. Srinath, who has been associated with NAB for the last three years in their fund raising activities, said the basic idea was to impart skills for the visually-impaired people so that they could live with dignity in comfort zone. ''We are just conceptualising the ideas. If necessary, more cricketers shall be brought to mobilise more funds. Bidappa said they hoped to raise ''about Rs 25 lakh'' from the show as it would have ''a zero cost''. UNI
