Toronto: Top seeds Scotland won the toss and elected to bat in its International Cricket Council (ICC) Trophy third/fourth place play-off match against hosts Canada on Tuesday. The winners of this game will take the third and final qualifying spot on offer at this tournament for the 2003 World Cup in South Africa. Rain delayed the start by 45 minutes but organisers have set aside on Wednesday as a reserve day if rain causes further delays. Scotland was without veteran seam bowler Asim Butt, who was suffering from a groin strain.
