Bombay: India's star batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of the upcoming One-day series against New Zealand and hosts Sri Lanka due to a foot injury, the selectors said on Monday.Tendulkar will, however, be available for the three Test matches against Sri Lanka in August, chairman of selectors Chandu Borde said.Tendulkar's absence from the July 18 to August 4 triangular is a blow to the Indians, still reeling from the shock defeat by the West Indies in the final of the One-day series in Zimbabwe last Saturday. The 28-year-old is the world's most successful Limited Overs batsman with a record 10,461 runs from 273 matches, including 29 centuries and 53 half-centuries.Attacking left-handed opener Amay Khurasia replaces Tendulkar in the 15-man squad, while Yuvraj Singh and left-arm spinner Rahul Sanghvi have been recalled in place of Harvinder Singh and Dinesh Mongia.India will also be without bowling spearheads Javagal Srinath and Anil Kumble for the One-day series.Fast bowler Srinath opted out to recharge his batteries for the Test matches, while Kumble has not recovered fully from a shoulder injury that has kept him out since last October.India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand will play each other thrice in the preliminary league with the top two advancing to the final in Colombo on August 4.The squad: Saurav Ganguly (captain), Rahul Dravid, Sameer Dighe (wicket-keeper), V V S Laxman, Hemang Badani, Ashish Nehra, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar, Virender Sehwag, Reetinder Sodhi, Debashish Mohanty, Rahul Sanghvi, Amay Khurasia and Yuvraj Singh.Coach: John Wright.
