Mumbai: Injury-hit premier batsman Sachin Tendulkar will know about his joining the beleaguered Indian team in Colombo only after August 10 just four days before the first Test against Sri Lanka.[an error occurred while processing this directive]Dr Anant Joshi said on Wednesday that he will conduct another bone scan of the right toe of the player on August 10 and his playing will depend on how fast the hairline fracture responded to the rest.Meanwhile, Tendulkar is walking gingerly on small rubber protection cushioned under his foot as a protection. Joshi said it keeps the pressure to the minimum. The manufacturers of the protection are prepared to insert it under his shoe if he wants, he added.Tendulkar played with the injury in the triangular final against West Indies at Harare in the second week of this month. Currently in Colombo India has lost two league games out of six and even if Tendulkar is given a green signal to join his colleagues, he will go straight into the first Test without any practice.
