New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president A C Muthiah on Friday said the Asian Test Championship (ATC) is in danger of being cancelled if India does not take part in it.[an error occurred while processing this directive]''Without India there will be no ATC,'' the BCCI chief told reporters after meeting Union Sports Minister Uma Bharthi on Friday afternoon.Mr Muthiah made it clear that there will be no neutral venue for the ATC final. He said the executive committee of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will meet in Kolkata as scheduled from August 14 to 16.Mr Muthiah, who called on the minister to discuss cricket matters, said his meeting was very fruitful. ''I hope that Union government will give its positive decision by the end of the third week of this month regarding participation in the ATC,'' he added.Mr Muthiah said on July 26 the BCCI had written to the government seeking permission to take part in the ATC. I am told that decision in this regard will be taken by the end of the third week of this month.Uma Bharthi told the reporters that the final decision whether to take part in the ATC or not will be taken by the External Affairs Ministry. ''I will give my view on this subject to External Affairs Ministry. The minister agreed that sports plays important role in creating goodwill among the people and countries but added "situation here is different, I am all for sporting relationship between the countries.''
