Dhaka: Former Pakistani captain Javed Miandad on Tuesday returned to training the Bangladesh team for the upcoming Asian Test Championships (ATC) after recovering from a stomach upset, according to sources.[an error occurred while processing this directive]The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) source said Miandad had fallen ill on Monday, but went back to the job on Tuesday after resting in his hotel room.Miandad is assisting current coach Trevor Chappell of Australia."I am very happy with the preparation in the last eight weeks or so," Chappell told the Daily Star newspaper on Tuesday. He added, "The last few weeks have been particularly good and everything is coming together nicely."Bangladesh has already announced its 14-member squad for the ATC, with Naimur Rahman as skipper. The second ATC will be held from September 2001 to January 2002 in different locations in South Asia.As well as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India are also scheduled to take part.Bangladesh, which was awarded Test status in 2000, has yet to win a Test match, although it beat Pakistan in the 1999 World Cup Limited Overs tournament in England.
