Mumbai: The Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) will foot batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar's expenses during his visit to Johannesburg (South Africa) for treatment to his injured foot by leading Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Mark Fergusson, according to BCCI secretary J Y Lele on Saturday.[an error occurred while processing this directive]Lele, who was here in connection with the all India umpires seminar, which concluded on Friday, said that Tendulkar would be leaving for Johannesburg either on August 22 or 23.Sports medicine expert Dr Anant Joshi said Tendulkar would go to South Africa to facilitate the making of specially designed footwear that will cushion his injured right toe.Tendulkar fractured his toe while playing in the final league match of the triangular series against the West Indies on July 4 in Zimbabwe and pulled out of the on-going Sri Lankan series, as the fracture had not healed completely.Lele was also confident that Tendulkar would be fit for the tour of South Africa, which will commence from October 1.PTI
