[an error occurred while processing this directive]Karachi: Pakistan on Saturday recalled pace bowler Wasim Akram to a 16-member squad for the opening Test match against Bangladesh in the Asian Test Championship.Wasim, 35, was earlier dropped from the 27 probables, but apparently forced the selectors to revise their decision with a good performance in a trial game earlier this week."I am delighted to be in the sqaud and will do my best," Akram told AFP after the team was announced by Chief Selector Wasim Bari. "This is the best possible team we could pick for the Test against Bangladesh," Bari said.Bangladesh and Pakistan are scheduled to play their first ever Test in Multan from August 29 at the start of the Asian Test championship, which has been marred by India's decision to pull out."The final 11 will be announced by captain Waqar Younis before the start of the match," Bari said. Pakistan's squad includes two uncapped batsmen, Taufiq Umer and Naveed Latif.20-year old Umer hit a century against the touring Bangladesh side on Saturday and is certain to make his debut. Pakistan's key off spinner Saqlain Mushtaq was not considered as he is busy playing county cricket in England."Pacer Shoaib Akhtar was also not considered as he himself said he needs match practice," Bari said.
