Mumbai: England will play the first Test against hosts India at Mohali (Chandigarh) from December 3 to 7 during its 60-day tour, according to the proposed itinerary released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) here on Monday.The England squad, which will be playing a three-match Test series and a five-match One-day series apart from 3 three-day side games, will arrive on November 14 and play its tour opener, a three-day game, either at Mumbai or Pune from November 18-20.The second three-day game will be held at Hyderabad from November 23-25 while the third side game would be held either at Jaipur or at Jodhpur from November 28-30.The second Test match scheduled to be held at Ahemdabad would be held from December 11 to 15, while the third and final Test would be held at Bangalore from December 19 to 24. The visitors would then go back home for Christmas on December 24.The Englishmen will come back to play the One-day series on January 12, 2002. They will play two practice ties on January 17 and 19 before the first One-day International, a day and night tie, at Kolkata on January 22. The next four day-night Internationals would be held at Chennai (January 25), Mumbai (January 28), New Delhi (January 31) and Kanpur (February 3) before leaving for New Zealand on February 4. PTI
