Kolkata: Indian cricket captain Saurav Ganguly, going through strenuous practice sessions to prepare for the forthcoming South African tour, on Tuesday took time off to shoot for a commercial for Emami Group of Companies, the sponsor of the Bengal Ranji team. [an error occurred while processing this directive]The Indian captain and six of his Bengal teammates turned up at the Indrapuri studio for the seven-hour shooting, as hordes of media men and cricket buffs descended on the venue.The director of the advertisement film, Kailash Serendranath and top Emami officials were tight-lipped on their of the project. The seven cricketers, who included the lone new face in the South Africa-bound team Deep Dasgupta, posed for lensmen briefly before resuming the shooting."It is a different game. It's not a new experience for me but the others are quite excited about it. They are enjoying it," Ganguly told reporters after the photo session."It is a good feeling. I have featured in quite a few commercials so I know what to expect. The sponsors have been doing good work for Bengal and we are grateful to them," Ganguly added. He, however, refused to speak on any matter concerning cricket. PTI
