Mumbai: All-rounder Ajit Agarkar will replace indisposed medium pacer Ashish Nehra in the Indian team for the triangular series in South Africa from October one to 27. [an error occurred while processing this directive]The selection committee chairman Chandu Borde told reporters on Sunday, Out of the three stand-byes asked to attend the fitness camp at the Wankhede Stadium, we felt Agarkar could fit well for the triangular series. The other two players who attended the fitness test were Debashish Mohanty and Rakesh Patel. Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly who also attended the press conference said, Agarkar would be used as an all-rounder in the One-day series.He was hopeful that both Nehra and Zaheer Khan would be fit for the three-match Test series against South Africa soon after the triangular series. The three teams in the triangular series are India, South Africa and Kenya. PTI
