Hyderabad scores thrilling 35-run win vs Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Hyderabad scored a thrilling 35 run victory over Tamil Nadu in its under-19 cricket One-day match for the Ghulam Ahmed Trophy in Chennai on Tuesday.
 Electing to bat, Hyderabad was skittled out for 192 in 48 overs. A T Rayudu, who shone well with both willow and the leather, claimed three for 29 to help other bowlers dismiss Tamil Nadu for 157 all out in 46 overs. Naveen Reddy and Rayudu continued to be Hyderabad's mainstay, putting on 89 runs off 20.5 overs for the second wicket to lay a solid foundation. Rayudu was run out brilliantly by a direct throw from Sathish at deep mid-on. Rayudu top scored with 77, while Naveen Reddy chipped in with 34. Later, Mohd Nadeemuddin made 26. He took three of the six catches in deep mid wicket when Tamil Nadu batted. Tamil Nadu's medium pacer, D Tamil Kumaran (two for 18) and Sreejan (three for 43) were the main wicket takers. In reply, Tamil Nadu only openers Aditya Srikkanth (28) and Dinesh Karthik (33) made decent scores before making their exit, while the rest of the batsmen fell cheaply. These two put on 64 runs for the first wicket off 17.4 overs. Hyderabad's fast bowlers, M P Arjun (two for 27) and Tripti Singh (two for 22) gave able assistance to offie Rayudu, who claimed three for 29.
