Mumbai: The five-day Irani Trophy between the Rest of India and Ranji Trophy champions Baroda will now be held at Nagpur from October 13 to 17.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) executive secretary, Sharadh Diwadkar said on Tuesday that the Board was forced to shift the tie from Pune due to heavy rain there. They had to put-off the match by a day for the purpose of live telecast by Doordarshan, he said. V K Ramaswamy of Hyderabad and Vijay Chopra of Delhi would be the two umpires while Bhagwandas Suthar of Madhya Pradesh would be the match referee, Diwadkar added. The Rest of India would be led by Test star V V S Laxman, who has completely recovered from the knee operation he underwent in Australia last month.  Extras:
