New Delhi: The BCCI on Thursday said it was the prerogative of the government to decide whether India could play cricket matches against Pakistan or not, but said an eleventh hour decision created problems.
| "It is the government's right to decide on Indo-Pak cricket ties, we only ask that the verdict be given early to avoid financial and other difficulties for the two Boards," Dalmiya said at a press conference in Delhi. He said an eleventh hour cancellation meant problems with sponsors and TV channels and added that to help the government give its decision early, the Board too would put up its proposals early. This problem has to be tackled properly otherwise it could lead to India being isolated in international cricket, Dalmiya added. Extras:|
