Nagpur: Baroda was 265 for six off 90 overs with its skipper Connor Williams on an unbeaten 133 at close on the opening day of the five-day Irani Trophy cricket match against Rest of India at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Ground in Nagpur on Saturday.
Baroda, after being put into bat first by rival skipper V V S Laxman, was struggling at 92 for two at lunch before Williams' knock helped it study the boat. Williams' unbeaten knock was studded with 15 boundaries and two sixes and along with Himanshu Jadhav (43) took his team to respectability. For the Rest team, off spinner Sharandeep Singh emerged as the best bowler taking three for 70.
