Chennai: The second One-day match for the F C De Saram Cup between Colombo Cricket Association and Tamil Nadu was abandoned on October 15 due to continuous rain.
Umpires C R Vijayaraghavan and T R Kasiappan decided to call off the match after an inspection of the turf and the outfield at the India Cements ground. In the first match, the Colombo team, playing the Limited Overs version of the earlier four-day event for the earlier M J Gopalan Trophy, defeated Tamil Nadu in a thrilling encounter by a wicket and two balls to spare. The third and final match is scheduled for October 17.
