Baroda: Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) president Chirayu Amin on Monday appointed a four-member Ad-Hoc Committee to look after routine work of the association after its two secretaries, Jayawant Lele and Pradeep Desai, resigned from their posts last week.
The four-member committee include former India stumper Kiran More, Rakesh Parikh, Vinit Wadkar and R V Kotta, who are also members of managing committee of BCA, sources told PTI in Baroda. Lele and Desai, along with BCA treasurer Ramesh Dalvi had resigned from their posts after some members of BCA Managing Committee had moved a no-confidence motion against them alleging large-scale misappropriation in the accounts. A specially convened general body meeting was supposed to discuss the matter but it (meeting) could not be held as the threesome - Lele, Desai and Dalvi - resigned before that. It is perhaps for the first time in 60-year history of BCA that an Ad-Hoc Committee is appointed for running the daily affairs of the association, the sources added.
