'The boys will have to get used to the heat'
Mumbai: England team's batting trio of Mark Butcher, Mark Ramprakash and Graham Thorpe are confident of doing well against the Indian bowlers on the slow pitches here in the three-match Test series starting next month."Though we have not seen much of Indian bowlers, except for a couple of matches in One-dayers in Sharjah, we are confident of doing well here," the left-handed Butcher told reporters on Thursday."However, playing world class bowlers like Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and Javagal Srinath anywhere in the world on any pitches would be tough but if we play the waiting game to perfection we can tackle them," he added.Butcher, who plays along with Pakistan offie Saqlain Mushtaq for Surrey, said it has been a great help playing Saqlain in the nets and watch him mesmerise batsmen from the slips."That (playing Saqlain in the nets) has given me immense confidence to play quality spin," Butcher added.Another left-hander in the side Thorpe, who missed the last Test against Australia and the subsequent One-day series due to injury, said he has recovered fully and was looking forward to playing on Indian pitches.Thorpe said, "I have played some of the Indian bowlers like Srinath, Kumble and Prasad in county cricket in England but playing them here would be quite different but I think we can handle them if we play with lot of patience."
