London: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday night welcomed the settlement reached between International Cricket Council and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) describing it as a decision that will "strengthen ICC's authority and integrity".[an error occurred while processing this directive]"I am delighted to hear this news," ECB chairman Lord MacLaurin said in a statement. "The decision is a victory for common sense."As we have made it clear, the ECB has always been fully supportive of the ICC's position throughout this process. This decision will strengthen ICC's authority and integrity as the world governing body for cricket, but the family of cricket is the real winner," MacLaurin said. PTI
