England tour of India - News - Cricket: England team in Hyderabad amidst tight security

Hyderabad: The touring England team arrived in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning amidst tight security and would be playing a three-day match against the Board President XI from November 22 to 24 at the Lal Bahadur Stadium.The team, after arrival from Mumbai, straight went to its hotel. It is likely to go to nets on Wednesday and may take it easy for now, but the programme is yet be confirmed, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) sources said.Meanwhile, security was tightened at the stadium and at the hotel where the players are staying. Earlier, English team security officer Mathew Gilbright visited the city and held discussions with top police officials of the state about the arrangements.The visitors would play their second three-day match against India A at Jaipur from November 27 to 29 before starting its three Test match series to be played at Mohali, Ahmedabad and Bangalore and go home for Christmas.The teams (from): England: Nasser Hussain (captain), Usman Afzaal, Martyn Ball, Mark Butcher, Marcus Trescothick, Graham Thrope, Michael Vaughan, Mark Ramprakash, Richard Dawson, James Foster, Ashley Giles, Warren Hegg, Richard Johnson, Matthew Hoggard, James Ormond and Craig White.Coach: Duncan Fletcher.Assistant coach: Graham Dilley.Manager: Phil Neale.Board President's XI: Jacob Martin (captain), Irfan Patan, Rakesh Patel, Wasim Jaffer, S Sriram, Dinesh Mongia, Pankaj Dharmani, SanjayBangar, Murali Karthik, Rohan Gavaskar, T Yohanan, Sharandeep Singh, Surender Singh and R Druv.Manager: Madan Lal.
