Hyderabad: The visiting England team on Tuesday expressed satisfaction over the security cover it has been provided in India and said the threat perception has become a world-wide phobia after September 11 attacks.Speaking to reporters, English media manager David Clarke said, The flight travel and world picture has changed a lot after the September 11 attack on US.Asked if the team was over-protected by taking too many precautions while the war is in a distant Afghanistan, Clarke said, Things have changed after the terrorist attack on World Trade Centre and said he was happy with the security arrangements being made for the tour.England's security officer Mathew Gilbright had arrived in Hyderabad in advance to oversee the security arrangements with the local police officials. Police had thrown a thick security cover at the airport, the hotel in which the team is staying and the venue Lal Bahadur stadium. Clarke, however, ruled out any changes in the tour programme and said, As things stand, the schedule will be adhered to strictly. The visitors after playing the three test series would go home for Christmas and resume One-day series in January-February next.England bowler Richard Dawson, who also accompanied Clarke at the press conference, said the team was very happy with its batting performance at Mumbai and hoped to continue the same trend throughout the tour. Dawson said they would be getting more and more experience of Indian pitches and would like to practise more before the series begins. PTI
