Hyderabad: England will take on Board President's XI in a three-day cricket match at the L B Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday in the backdrop of suspended sentence on Sachin Tendulkar and five others Indian players by match referee in South Africa for allegedly violating cricketing rules.Speaking to reporters after a five-hour strenuous workout, England's star player Mark Ramprakash initially tried to play the issue down but when scribes pestered for a reply he merely said, "We have come here to play a good game and part as friends and we will try to do that."He refused to comment when a British scribe asked, "Don't you think the punishment by match referee Mike Denness was harsh and that too coming from Britisher how do you react."English bowlers would be looking forward to judge the bounce of Indian pitches, considered to be flat by them, and see how helpful they would be to fast bowling. The batsmen on the other hand would like to concentrate on tackling the Indian spinners in this practise match and brace up to face Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and the likes in the ensuing three Test series, Ramprakash said. Commenting on the wicket, he said they were testing the Indian soil and have to see what the wicket behaves like. Asked if they were scared of the spin attack, he said, "Normally spin, back home in England is not considered as a main weapon but the circumstances here are different. We will try to cope up with the situation," he said. "It's not that we lack players who can handle spin attack but only that some of them are new to this kind of bowling," he said, adding, that concentration was important to tackle spinners and the boys were learning.
