Hyderabad: Electing to bat first England was 108 for the loss of two wickets at lunch on the opening day of the three-day match against Board President's XI at the Lal Bahadur Stadium on Thursday.[an error occurred while processing this directive]England had a fine start with Mark Butcher and Michael Vaughan scoring with fluency and adding 51 runs for the first wicket before Dinesh Mongia took a neat catch at slips to dismiss Vaughan at 22 off Sanjay Bangar.Skipper Nasser Hussain joined Butcher and took the score past 100 mark. Butcher played a lofted shot which was taken in the deep by Surender Singh off Sharandeep Singh. His 41 runs were studded with four hits to fence and a six. Hussain on 37 and Thorpe on three were at crease at lunch.PTI
