New Delhi :Indian cricket's eternal come-back man Murali Kartik has denied having any differences with skipper Sourav Ganguly saying had that been the case he would not have been recalled so many times to the national squad.

Kartik, who has made as many as eight comebacks to the Indian team after his debut in 1999-2000, will spearhead the Indian spin attack during the five-match One-day series against Pakistan begining next week following the injury induced absence of Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.

The left-arm spinner, whose differences with Ganguly have often rumoured to be the reason for his inability to cement his place into the squad, rubbishes such reports and instead says it is the faith of the captain which has helped him to stage so many comebacks.

"It's amazing where these stories crop up from. Because he (Sourav) has also denied it so many times. And I keep saying that if I had to come back eight times, the captain has to have some faith in me. When Anil is injured or Harbhajan is injured to think about me and call me," Kartik said.

The Railway bowler, infact thinks that he needs to bide his time and wait for his chances as the Indian team has very good spinners in Kumble and Harbhajan.

"I am competing with two people who are probably the best two spinners and who have done extremely well for India, Anil and Harbhajan. And when the team management wants two spinners, you have to bide your time and I guess that is what I have to do."
