Bangalore: Heavy overnight rain and intermittent drizzle of the morning has delayed the start of the fourth day’s play of the third and final Test between India and England at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. The umpires have scheduled an another inspection at 13.30 hrs (IST).

With the monsoon being active in the neighbouring state of Chennai, there is a likelyhood of more rain, which may result in play being washed out for the day. In such an event, the match is likely to end in a draw resulting in a 1-0 series win for India.

With a delayed start being on the cards at the outset, there was not much crowded in the stadium despite being a Saturday.

The Indian team members, meanwhile, went for a work out in the Indoor Stadium.
