India jumps to fifth spot with series victory

New Delhi: India defeated England in the first Test by 10 wickets and then was on the back foot for the final two Tests. India managed to bat out the final day of the second Test to force a draw, while rain ruined any chance of a result in the final Test.

India has jumped from seventh to fifth place in the ratings as a result of this series and now holds its highest rating since August this year. England remains in fourth place in the ratings.
