London: Strange are the ways of love. Two days after Brian Lara and his stunning model-girlfriend hit the headlines with a police report that said the West Indian star had abused Lindsey Ward, the couple are back together, still very much in love and even thinking of tying the knot.
The 20-year-old Brit has dismissed the December 26 incident, when she fled Lara's home and told cops that the cricketer had hit her several times, as merely a "lover's tiff". On Sunday night she was back with him in the luxury mansion in Trinidad and saying "He's my hero and he's a public hero. We had a misunderstanding but it was just a lovers' tiff just like a lot of couples have," according to report in 'The Sun' tabloid. Lyndsey even spoke of marrying Lara, hailed as one of the world's greatest batsmen. She kissed Lara and said "I feel great being with him. I want to be with him forever. I would like to marry him, but not just yet because I want to fulfil my career in modeling." The paper said Lara appeared to back Lyndsey's hint at wedding plans, saying: "I'm 32 and I need to settle down soon." A day after Christmas, Ward made a statement to the St Clair police station - less than half a kilometre from Lara's home that she had been attacked by Lara. Extras: Post your views
