Bangalore: Member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India's national panel of scorers and Thatscricket.com's statistician C V Nagendra Nath passed away at a private hospital due to a paralytic stroke on Saturday.
Nagendra Nath was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after he complained of uneasiness and lost conscious. He was admitted to the intensive care unit and never recovered. The end came at around 9.30 am (IST) on Saturday. Popularly known as CVN, he was 50 years old. A qualified umpire, Nagendra Nath was a member of the Association of Cricket Umpires of Karnataka. A member of the national panel of scorers of All India Radio for Test and international matches, Nagendra Nath was the official scorer-cum-statistician for the Wills World Cup 1996 for the matches held at Nagpur, Kanpur and Delhi. The Karnataka State Cricket Association and The Association of Cricket Umpires of Karnataka have condoled the untimely death of Nagendra Nath.
