Chennai: A total of eight persons had so far been arrested in connection with the sale of tickets in the black market for the One-dayer between England and India on Friday, joint commissioner of police S George, said.Some tickets of various denominations and cash had also been seized, he said.Meanwhile, police sources said that they could not rule out the role played by some persons in the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and Madras Cricket Club, since one of those arrested had confessed to having been supplied tickets by an MCC official.George said police had taken up investigations on Wednesday after receiving complaints that tickets were being sold in the black. "We found some persons who were indulging in selling tickets in the black and immediately nabbed them," he said.PTI
