England tour of India - Cricket: Private insurance firms gesture to Red Cross

Chennai: Royal Sundaram Alliance, India's leading private insurance companies, will donate Rs 25,000 to the Red Cross for every six hit into the Royal Sundaram stand during the One-dayer between England and India on Friday.This was being done in celebration of Royal Sundaram's 'deal' with the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and the unveiling of the refurbished Royal Sundaram stand at the Chidambaram stadium in Chepauk, where the One-dayer will be played, a company press release said.Quoting Antony Jacob, the Deputy Managing Director, Royal Sundaram, the release said both the Red Cross and Royal Sundaram were in the business of risk prevention and assisting people.PTI
