Sachin Tendulkar of India, when on 48 during his blistering unbeaten innings of 87 in the 4th Limited Over International (LOI) of the current series against England at Kanpur on January 28 2002 became the first player in the world to cross 11000 runs in the shorter version of the game. This was his 284th match and 276th innings. This was another feather to his cap as he had already held the record for most number of runs in the LOIs and thereby in a way extended his world record. His scores in the current series before the match at Kanpur had been 36 at Kolkata, 45 at Cuttack, and 68 at Chennai. He has now aggregated 236 in 4 innings with one not out at an average of 78.66 and is leading as the highest run getter in the on going series. In all he has scored 11039 runs in 284 matches at an averages of 44.12. He scored 31 hundreds and 55 fifties, with a highest score of 186* vs New Zealand at Hyderabad on November 08 1999. Out of the 11 countries in which he has appeared in the LOIs, Tendulkar has not scored centuries only against England, Bangladesh and UAE. He has played 18 matches vs England, six matches vs Bangladesh and only one match vs UAE. But for finishing the target set by England at Kanpur, he could well have passed his highest score and scored a century against England in the devastating form he was in at Green Park. He has now left two more matches against England in the current series to improve upon his highest score of 91 against them, which came at Sharjah on December 11 1997 in the Singer-Akai Cup tournament. Tendulkar's progressive milestones in his LOI career:
