England tour of India - Cricket: England security officer inspects Barabati Stadium

Cuttack: Mathew Kilbride, the security officer of the touring England cricket team, on Friday visited the Barabati Stadium, the venue for the second One-day International between England and India on January 22.Kilbride inspected the various facilities at the stadium and went round the pavillion, press box and galleries. Asked to comment on the security arrangements, Kilbride said he was not authorised to speak to the press. However, president of the Orissa Cricket Association (OCA), P K Mishra said Kilbride had expressed his satisfaction over the security arrangements made for hosting the match.Kilbride also discussed matters relating to security of the England team with the local police officials, he said. The security officer also inspected the Oberoi hotel at Bhubaneswar where the England team is scheduled to stay. The Indian team will also put up at the state capital in the Mayfair Lagoon, close to the Oberoi. PTI
