Kolkata: Under an overcast sky, which the weatherman predicted would remain throughout the day, a sports-crazy metropolis woke up to the excitement over the first One-day International match between India and England at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. No untimely spoilsport showers or harsh sunlight for the day are predicted, met office sources said.''But the English team would certainly miss out on the January chill that they were expecting in the air,'' a duty officer at the Alipore met office said.Street corners, buses and local radio channels were abuzz with the cricket fever that has gripped Kolkata since Nasser Hussain and his men set foot here. With the relative humidity predicted to hover between a maximum of 98 per cent and minimum of 65, the Englishmen can expect a near sweatless match.
