Play resumes under floodlights in Asian Test final

Lahore: Play resumed under floodlights after rain halted Sri Lanka's pursuit of victory over Pakistan on the fourth day of the Asian Test championship final here Saturday.

Only 4.5 overs were bowled when drizzle forced the umpires to suspend play before lunch. Pakistan had progressed to 204 for five from its overnight score of 193 for five . Inzamam-ul Haq was on 45 and Shoaib Malik was on 7. Pakistan need another 90 runs to avert an innings defeat. Pakistan made 234 in its first innings, while Sri Lanka made 528 with a double hundred from Kumar Sangakkara.
