Guwahati: Ace off spinner Harbhajan Singh on Monday sustained 'minor injuries' on his left arm following a scuffle with policemen outside the team hotel but would play Tuesday's One-day match against Zimbabwe.Indian team manager Sunil Khanna told reporters that Harbhajan Singh's injuries were minor and he was in a position to play Tuesday's One-dayer. Recounting the incident, Khanna said a Delhi-based photographer, Kamal Sharma, had come to meet Harbhajan for a photo shoot but was prevented by the security men from entering the hotel.

"When the off spinner himself came down to request the police to allow him to take Sharma up, such a situation was created," Khanna said. Khanna expressed resentment over the tight security cover thrown around the players and the hotel which prevented even reporters from meeting the players. "We are not prisoners that we should be kept in a virtual house arrest." Khanna said that the team held an emergency meeting to decide whether to play Tuesday's match or not.

"We decided to go ahead with Tuesday's match after the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of police apologised for the incident."
