Georgetown (Guyana): West Indies middle order batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who scored his career-best, was delighted with his efforts in front of his home crowd.
"I'm happy to score a century in front of my home crowd, friends and family," Chanderpaul said. "It was an important hundred for me because I had been going through a lean phase, which came from being in and out of cricket," he said. "When you come back from the injury, you need some time to get back into form. It was one of my best knocks as I had not hit many centuries," he added.
