Port of Spain (Trinidad): West Indies leg spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo has been ruled out of Friday's second cricket Test against India at Queen's Park Oval due to injury.

"He has been ruled out of the match because of a hamstring injury. He has been replaced with Dinanath Ramnarine, but should be fit for the next match," West Indies manager Ricky Skerritt said on Thursday. Nagamootoo, who has taken seven wickets in three Tests, dismissed master batsman Sachin Tendulkar for 79 in the drawn opening Test at Georgetown in Guyana on Monday. "We'll miss him as he has bowled well in the first Test," West Indies captain Carl Hooper said. "He got the vital wicket of Tendulkar and also troubled (Rahul) Dravid early in his innings. He's a good lower-order batsman and a fine fielder."
