Kingston (Jamaica): Former skipper Vivian Richards has been named chairman of a three-member West Indies cricket selection committee, it was announced on Sunday.
The 50-year-old Antiguan, who scored 8,540 runs in 121 Tests with 24 centuries, replaced former Test wicket-keeper Mike Findlay for a two-year period. Former West Indies opener Gordon Greenidge also joined the selection panel, replacing former paceman Joel Garner. Michael 'Joey' Carew, a member of the previous body, retained his place.
