Hove (England): West Indies 'A' got its tour of England back on track with a three- wicket win against Sussex in a Limited Overs match at Hove on Friday.
It was not the kind of dashingly stylish performance usually associated with West Indian sides but, after collapsing to 77 all out against Sri Lanka on Wednesday, this was just the morale booster the 'A' team needed. It bowled out Sussex for a lowly 124, slow left-armer Suleiman Benn with three for 23 and paceman Jermaine Lawson, three for 29, doing most to ensure the hosts were dismissed in less than 36 overs. Once again the West Indies 'A' batting struggled, captain Daren Ganga top-scoring with a slowly made 79-ball 29. Teenager Dwayne Bravo chipped in with 27 before Gareth Breese's 13 not out saw West Indies 'A' home. On Sunday Ganga's men continue their tour, which includes four first-class matches, with another One-dayer, against Kent, at Canterbury.
