Dhaka: The new head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Ali Asghar left on Wednesday for Pakistan where he will officially take up his new post, a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) source said.
Asghar, who is president of the BCB, was accompanied by new ACC secretary Syed Ashraful Haq and treasurer Habibur Rahman, also from Bangladesh, the source said. ACC's outgoing president Lieutenant General Tauqir Zia, who is also the president of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is set to hand over responsibility on Thursday to the new team from Bangladesh for the next two years.
