Mithali's monumental score was only the fifth double century in the history of women's Test cricket and it bettered Australian K L Rolton's unbeaten 209 scored against England at Leeds last year. Incidentally all the five double centuries have been scored against England.[an error occurred while processing this directive]Mithali also became the first Indian to score a Test double century. Former player Sandhya Agarwal had missed the mark by 10 runs at Worcester during the 1986-87 series against England. PTI
