Kolkata: With the stand-off over signing of the controversial participation contract by top Indian cricketers persisting, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday said its next move would depend on the outcome of the crucial meeting of ICC this weekend, but rejected an Australian formula to solve the knotty issue. The president of the BCCI Jagmohan Dalmiya indicated here that the any solution to the tangle would emerge only after the all-important meeting of the ICC executive board scheduled for this weekend in Dubai."Wait till the meeting of the ICC executive board at Dubai," Dalmiya told PTI when asked about the board's next course of action. The cricket's governing body was earlier forced to advance its crucial executive board meeting by a month to discuss the ongoing row with the players over the endorsements, which has threatened to jeopardise the Champions Trophy to be held in Sri Lanka from September 12. The Indian Board chief, however, rejected outright the Australian formula to solve the tangle terming it as "bluff".Dalmiya said that the Australian template could hardly apply to the Indian situation where players received a large number of personal endorsements and their long-term interest would be harmed if such a formula was applied here.
