Colombo: South African skipper Shaun Pollock elected to field after winning the toss against the West Indies in the Champions Trophy One-day cricket tournament at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground on Friday.

West Indies: Carl Hooper (captain), Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brian Lara, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Wavell Hinds, Ridley Jacobs, Mervyn Dillon, Vasbert Drakes, Pedro Collins and Mahendra Nagamootoo. South Africa: Shaun Pollock (capt), Herschelle Gibbs, Graeme Smith, Boeta Dippenaar, Jacques Kallis, Jonty Rhodes, Lance Klusener, Nicky Boje, Mark Boucher, Alan Dawson and Allan Donald. Umpires: David Shepherd (England) and Srinivas Venkataraghavan (India). TV umpire: Daryl Harper (Australia). Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle (Sri Lanka).
