New Delhi: Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced a step up of 3 to 4 per cent in the players' share of revenue raising it to 26 per cent.[an error occurred while processing this directive]"We will give one per cent higher than the highest of 25 per cent paid now (in Australia)," Dalmiya told SET Max TV channel."BCCI currently pays a share of 22 to 23 per cent of all Board revenues. Last year, the total revenues were Rs 96 crores," he said.On the ICC sponsorship issue, Dalmiya said the world body will review the controversial clauses once the Champions Trophy is over on Sunday. "We have to look into it and have the extra rights (of the official sponsors) reviewed." Dalmiya said ICC was likely to discuss the issue on Monday or day after at its meeting in Colombo. The former ICC president did not specify the controversial clauses but said those were neither there at the time of being drafted nor passed during his term in office."Some of the clauses crept in later.""I can't separate it. I am part of ICC. BCCI is part of ICC. But once those extra rights are found then this problem which presently appears insurmountable will be simple to solve," he said. Dalmiya also said he is for the formation of a players association but not a players union. "I've seen both types -association and unions, the one you see in industries.Association is needed and it is helpful. No two opinion on that," he said.On team sponsors issue he said BCCI will say no to any sponsor if there was a conflict of interests. PTI
