Bangalore: Mohammad Kaif believes tips he got from Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and India coach John Wright would stand him in good stead when he leads the Board President's XI in a three-day game against the West Indies starting on Friday.

"I have played with Sachin, Rahul and Ganguly, and also John and have experience. That will help me a lot on Friday," Kaif, India's latest batting sensation, told reporters. He said Friday's encounter is a good opportunity for the young side to give a good account of themselves and gain good experience against the West Indies, known for its fast bowling. "It's a big game for the youngsters. I am looking forward to it," Kaif said. Leading a national side is not a new thing for him, Kaif said in response to question, noting that he had led the India under-19 team that won the Junior World Cup, and also under-16 team. Extras:
